Legacy Giving

Leave a Legacy That Protects Animals for Generations

Lone Star Rescue Ranch is being built as a long-term Texas rescue campus for dogs, horses, families, education, therapy-centered programming, and responsible animal care. A legacy gift allows you to help create something that can continue serving animals long after today.

Legacy giving is for supporters who want their love for animals to become part of a lasting mission. What Is Legacy Giving?

Legacy giving is a way to support Lone Star Rescue Ranch through a future gift, planned gift, estate gift, beneficiary designation, memorial gift, or other long-term charitable arrangement.

These gifts can help fund the future of the ranch, including animal care, veterinary support, adoption readiness, equine rehabilitation, education programs, facilities, and long-term sustainability.

A legacy gift does not have to be large to matter. Every planned gift represents a commitment to protecting animals and helping build a better future for dogs and horses in need.

Ways to Leave a Legacy (suggestions)

1) Include LSRR in Your Estate Plan

Supporters may choose to include Lone Star Rescue Ranch in a will, trust, or estate plan. This type of gift can help provide future funding for animal rescue, care, and ranch development.

2) Name LSRR as a Beneficiary

Some supporters choose to name a nonprofit organization as a beneficiary of a retirement account, life insurance policy, bank account, or other financial asset.

3) Make a Memorial or Honor Gift

A legacy gift can honor a loved one, a family member, a beloved pet, or someone whose compassion for animals should be remembered.

4) Create a Future Animal Care Gift

Legacy gifts may be directed toward future animal care, medical needs, rescue operations, adoption support, equine programs, or general mission support.

5) Support the Long-Term Ranch Vision

A planned gift can help LSRR grow into a self-sustaining rescue ranch with dedicated spaces for dogs, horses, education, therapy-centered programming, family visits, and future intelligent campus systems.

Why Legacy Giving Matters

Lone Star Rescue Ranch is being designed to last. Our goal is not simply to respond to immediate animal needs, but to build a stable, responsible, long-term rescue model.

Legacy gifts can help LSRR:

  • Provide future care for dogs and horses in need

  • Support veterinary and rehabilitation services

  • Build and maintain rescue facilities

  • Strengthen education and community programs

  • Create long-term financial stability

  • Honor people and pets who loved animals

  • Help future generations understand compassion, rescue, and stewardship

A Legacy Built Around Compassion

Many people spend a lifetime loving animals. Legacy giving allows that love to continue through a mission that protects, restores, and supports animals in need.

Your legacy can help create a ranch where dogs and horses are treated with dignity, where families can connect with rescue work, where volunteers can serve with purpose, and where future supporters can see the lasting impact of generosity.

Supporters should always consult their attorney, financial advisor, or tax professional before making estate or planned giving decisions.

A simple example of language to discuss with your advisor may include:

“I give to Lone Star Rescue Ranch, a charitable organization, the sum of $____ or ____ percent of my estate, to be used for its general charitable purposes.”

Final legal language should be prepared or reviewed by your professional advisor.

Recognition Opportunities

Legacy supporters may choose to be recognized publicly or remain anonymous.

Possible recognition options may include:

  • Legacy supporter listing

  • Pet memorial recognition

  • Donor wall recognition

  • Named gift recognition

  • Program or facility naming opportunities

  • Private acknowledgment from the Founder / Executive Director

Recognition opportunities will depend on the type, timing, and size of the gift.
