Rocco is an 11 month old sweetheart, a multi breed of love. For hours he will cuddle, both under your arm and on top of your chest. He loves watching birds, chasing lizards and playing with other dogs. Followed by long naps.

Every Animal Deserves a Second Chance

At Lone Star Rescue Ranch, we are building a better way to rescue and rehome dogs and horses.

We focus on animals that need the most help — those who have been neglected, injured, or surrendered. Our future campus will provide spacious rehabilitation areas, on-site veterinary care with AI monitoring, and a calm environment where animals can truly heal before finding their forever homes.

Right now we are in Phase 0 — laying the foundation for the ranch. We are not yet accepting new animals or processing adoptions.

But we are preparing something special: a dual-species sanctuary where compassion meets innovation.

We can’t wait to welcome our first residents and help them find loving, lifelong homes.

How Our Adoption Process Will Work

When we open for adoptions, we will follow a thoughtful, transparent process designed to give every animal the best possible match and every adopter the confidence they’re making the right decision.

Here’s how it will work:

1. Submit an Application Tell us about your home, lifestyle, and experience with dogs or horses. This helps us understand the best possible match.

2. Meet & Greet at the Ranch Come visit us in person. Spend time with the animal in our calm, spacious environment so you can see their personality and we can observe how you interact.

3. Home Visit & Approval One of our team members will visit your home to ensure it’s a safe and suitable environment for the animal.

4. Adoption & Support Once approved, we’ll complete the adoption with all necessary paperwork, medical records, and training recommendations. We provide ongoing support after adoption because we believe in lifelong matches.
